Sales Tax Wisconsin Orders
The sales tax rate for 71 of Wisconsin's 72 counties is 0.5%. Milwaukee County is 0.9%. It's goofy and beyond the rational minded checkout system. Therefore, the checkout system is only capable of adding 5% state sales tax to all Wisconsin orders. Don't worry - I also calculate and pay the additional county tax if applicable by consulting the Wisconsin Department of Revenue Sales Tax Chart.
Orders and Shipping
I ship orders as soon as possible. This is often the same day if I spy your order in time. If I receive your order on a weekend or holiday, I will ship on the next United States Postal Service (USPS) business day. Shipping is by USPS Ground Advantage which takes 2 to 5 business days. I will always send a shipping confirmation that includes a USPS tracking number.
Shipping is often free during promotions or a flat rate fee of $6 in the United States. This figure is less than my cost to ship a single pen in the United States. Of course, you can game the system by buying multiple pens and still pay only $6 shipping — clever of you! If you need shipping rates outside of the United States, I'll ask USPS and only charge what they charge me.
If your package is damaged while in USPS care, please save the packaging and contact the USPS immediately to file a claim.
Happy Returns
I want you to be happy with your purchase and then post nice things about Parus Pen. So, if you are not completely satisfied with your purchase, please return it within 10 days for your choice of a refund, exchange, or credit. You don't have to tell me why you're returning your purchase. However, if you don't mind letting me know why, it will help me meet customer expectations that much better. Please package items well, insure the package, and ship with a tracking number. Common sense expectations include: 1) merchandise must be in its original condition 2) shipping costs aren't refundable and 3) I can't be responsible for lost or damaged return shipments.
Payment, Privacy, and Legal
I made and maintain my website with WIX and host the site through Google. Information you provide during checkout is only used by Stripe (credit card processor) to complete the transaction and receive shipment. By using Stripe as a credit card processor, your encrypted transaction keeps Parus Pen automatically Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) compliant. Stripe is a Level 1 service provider, the highest grade of payment processing security, used by thousands of companies across the world including Fortune 500 companies. All this just means your sensitive credit card information is sent directly to Stripe (not to me) to handle and store. The nice folks at Stripe earn a percentage of every sale for this service.
If you send me an email, I only use your name and the contents of the email to craft a clever response. If I was a better businessman, I would harvest email addresses for use in annoying marketing campaigns. Rest easy, I won't send you email and I don't have any third party relationships. The ones I have are work enough.
